Overview

The Tidong community have been living within the wetlands area for many years. The lower Segama river and it's tributaries are used as the main source of income for the families due to its remoteness. Fish and prawn are caught using net and lines, they also collect clams in Nipah forest and sent to Sandakan city.

Immerse yourself within one of the few tribal communities in Sabah. Learn about their history and how they survive. Spend time on the river searching for wildlife including Orangutan, Proboscis monkeys, Crocodiles and a variety of bird life. Try your hand at fishing and hunting for clams.
